Graduation regalia are the formal academic dress worn during a graduate’s graduation ceremony. These are worn by all the students as well as some of the faculty, for the handing out of graduation diplomas and degrees. Graduation regalia are also worn by kindergarten and master’s and post graduate students as they progress from one stage of their education to another or finalize their education. Graduation regalia include gowns and caps, with the latter affixed with a tassel. The robe or gown contains a hood and velvet, while the cap is made of mortar board. The velvet, colors, and fabrics are made in different school colors.
