Chamonix Mont Blanc France is located at the foot of the majestic Monte Bianco in the European Alps and is generally recognized as the mixed climbing and extreme snowboarding epi centre of France. Chamonix Mont Blanc is known as a real playground for activities during both summer and winter seasons. It was chosen to hold the inaugural Winter games back in 1924 – however it is also an area of exceptional beauty proffering a lot of different things to the adventurous skier and sightseer.

However unlike a lot of modern snowboarding fields the resort of Chamonix is not a modern ski domain and has been mostly preserved from the concrete resorts which litters so much of the French Alps. It’s lucky to have not only a world renowned skiing field on the other hand a classic and lively centre.

Chamonix town is big enough to insure there’s a lot of activities for the vacationer to do and see. For whatever type of break theres an activity to please everyone. Not to mention a big sports centre, spas, casino and weekly market with fresh local produce; and loads of designer boutiques, terraced caf©s and clubs, it offers a mix of mountaineering, town charm and shopping, that few ski areas can come close to.
