Hand Analysis: Pockets Aces

The online poker hand every player waits to see winking up at them in the hole. Though other poker hands might be named a player’s favorite, this is always the one you want to find, on every deal. No matter how ‘easy’ it is to play aces, how ‘little skill’ it takes to raise and reraise with the hand that dominates all others preflop, it’s still where the money is at. More often than not, this is the hand that makes every player more money than any other. There’s nothing wrong with raising and reraising every time with this poker hand. Slowplaying can get you into trouble, not only because you lose getting raised by weaker hands that seem strong, but also because any flop could be a player making a set, two pair, a straight, or what have you. Best to get money in the pot while you have the best of it, and let the game work itself out from there. Players dealt AA under the gun will often limp, hoping that someone after them will raise so that they can reraise. This has become so common it’s pretty much a giveaway, and really isn’t asking for that much gain (not to mention the times that no one raises and you let the blinds come in for nothing, make any board a potential killer). Raise it up!
